Hard Times Writing Workshops

Hard Times is a free weekly writing workshop held by Write Denver and Lighthouse Writers Workshop instructor Jane Thatcher at Denver Public Library's Central Branch, and Joy Sawyer at the Arvada Public Library. The workshop is geared toward people experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty, though the door is open to anyone who has experienced challenges.  The goal is to help participants explore writing and self-expression, and their voices are then elevated through publication in the Denver Voice and Write Denver installations.

Hard Times meets every Tuesday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the Denver Central Library (10 W 14th Ave Pkwy) in the Rockwell Room, located on the 4th Floor, and every Wednesday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM on the second floor. Participants do not need to RSVP to attend. Just show up!
